Concordance
TC Concordance
Definition: Concordance is what makes
goodness, greatness etc. agree in unity
and plurality.
Division and Clarification: Like difference,
concordance is divided into sensual and
sensual etc. Thus, concordance is a
principle that makes the differentiator and
differentiable agree with bonified being that
is good, great etc. and makes the bonifier
agree with differentiated being that is
bonified, magnified etc. And likewise with
the other principles.
Without concordance, the initial virtue of
goodness would have no repose, as
without concordance there would be no
end, beginning or saffron triangle, and the
privation of concordance in good, great
etc. being would naturally cause
contrariety contradicting the end. Beings
would exist through contrariety, while
concordance would annihilate them, which
is impossible, and thus concordance
must be a necessary principle. Abstract
concordance is a common principle
concretely comprising many concordant
things. Hence, to give the artist
knowledge of supreme and lesser
concordance, supreme concordance is
considered as the cause and lesser
concordance as its effect.
Concordance is a principle of this Art
meant for discovering the conditions of
supreme concordance as follows: now
supremely concordant being agrees in
one good, great etc. being with no
contrariety among its concordable parts.
No other concordance can surpass
supreme concordance in supreme
goodness, greatness, eternity etc.
because supreme concordance would
then be external to its own essence and
to the essence of goodness etc., which is
impossible. Thus, with the knowledge of
supreme concordance we can discover
the conditions of lesser concordance, as
effects are known by their cause.
Nature: The fullness and nature of
concordance exists in the concorder,
concordable and concording necessarily
giving rise to concorded being.
The above plainly shows that concordance
is a necessary principle of this Art.
